Morning everyone👋

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Just letting you know that I’ll only be sending one email a week from now on, on Thursdays, focusing mainly on weekend events and important weekday events. I’ll alternate between “Did You Know” and “Trivia” each edition while keeping the “Positive News” the same.

I’m sure this isn’t what you wanted to hear, as I know many of you love getting the Monday edition, but it’s simply a time issue for me. Some things have come up that will take more of my time, and I’m also focusing a lot more on other projects. It’s getting hard to manage everything on my own.

Rest assured, I won’t stop doing the Thursday edition, and I’m not going anywhere—I just need to cut back to one email a week.

🏥 Burnside Hospital’s 60M Expansion

🚧 80M Main South Road Safety Upgrade

An 80 million investment will enhance safety on Main South Road between Myponga and Yankalilla. The upgrade includes constructing two new overtaking lanes, easing curves, and widening roads and narrow bridges. This initiative addresses a history of accidents on this stretch, including a fatal crash in 2024. The Adelaide Hills will benefit from a 150 million road safety package aimed at improving key arterial roads. Funded jointly by the Australian and South Australian governments over five years, the initiative includes road widening, easing tight curves, installing safety barriers, and upgrading junctions. 🐨 7.6M Boost for Wildlife Rescue

The 2025-26 State Budget allocates 7.6 million to support volunteer wildlife rescue and rehabilitation efforts in South Australia. This funding includes 1.4 million over four years for the Adelaide Koala & Wildlife Centre, ensuring its continued operation. An additional 6.2 million will support volunteer groups and wildlife conservation initiatives, responding to recommendations from various reviews on wildlife management in emergencies. [INFO]
